Empowerment for Community Development
Working Area:Bhumesthan and Jharlang VDC of Dhading District.
This Program is focused in two VDCs with the aims to improve income generation of Poor marginalized, dalit and deprived groups. This program is running in partnership with Poverty Alleviation Fund Kathmandu.
Child Centred Community Development Program
Working area: Pida and Mahadevsthan VDC of Dhading District
Target group: Women and children
Prayash Nepal has partnership with UMN for
empowering children in Dhading District through Centered Community Development
approach. The project is focused in Mahadevsthan and Pida Village Development
Committees (VDCs). This project aims Enabled communities, where children are
heard, protected, given opportunity for their development free from any type of
discrimination (gender, caste etc), or threats to survival and are able to
attain their full potential.
Library Management Program
Working area:38 VDCs of Dhading District
Number of School:
125 Primary, lower secondary, secondary and higher secondary schools.
Target group: Children, teacher and community.
Prayash Nepal has partnership with Room to Read Program for Library Management and Reading Skill Program that seeks to address this issue by establishing children’s libraries in community\'s schools where poverty, ethnicity, or other social and cultural barriers put children at a significant educational disadvantage. The program major objective is to increase access and use of library resources for school and/or community members, increase literacy awareness in schools and/or communities and integrate library resources into children’s learning environments and Support sustainable Reading Rooms by improving school administration, librarian, and/or teacher capacity to ensure the libraries are well run.
Naya Bato Naya Paila (New Path New Steps)
Working area:Sangkot, Kumpur, Nilkantha, Pida and Kalleri VDCs of Dhading District.
Target community:
Child labor specially focused to Dhunga
Khani.
Prayash Nepal has started \"The New Path New
Steps\" Project in partnership with World Education Nepal aims to address
key gaps in existing child labor in Dhading District. The project works with
the education sector that will keep more children in school longer and out of
child labor. The program promotes
better understanding and awareness of education, child labor and child welfare.
Dance 4 Life
Working area: 10 schools of Dhading District
Dance4life
Program in partnership with Restless Development (Nepal) has started by Prayash
Nepal Dhading with the aims to enable young people get into action to stop HIV
and positive choices, engage in decision-making.
Local Governance and Community Development Program
Program Area: Jyamruna, Katunje, Sangkos and Dhuwakot VDCs of
Dhading District
Prayash Nepal
is implementing LGCDP in partnership with District Development Committee
Dhading with the aims to empowerment of citizens and communities for active
engagement with local governments and strengthening downward accountability, Capacity
Development of local governments for effective service delivery.
